A Path to Obtaining a Healthy Building

COMMISSIONING

Through proper commissioning of the MEP Systems, it is our goal to save our clients time and to reduce their overall operating costs. Our clients deserve to have first hand knowledge of whether their building is performing at an optimum level. Properly designed and commissioned systems tend to have lower operating costs, better indoor air quality, and longer equipment life.

Commissioning is a critical component to overall “sustainable design and construction” of a building. Our focus on client satisfaction is what sets us apart from our competition. BDC’s total building commissioning is a quality-oriented process that will verify and document the overall performance of your building systems.

BDC can provide full Mechanical and Electrical commissioning services, or merely provide Commissioning Management Services.

LEED® COMMISSIONING

If you are involved with a U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED® certified building, you are probably aware that building commissioning is a required component for LEED® certification. LEED® for New Construction (LEED-NC2.2) has two commissioning components. The first is Fundamental Building Systems Commissioning, and is a prerequisite that must be performed. The second is Additional Commissioning (E&A Credit 3), and is voluntary.

BDC has some of the industry’s most experienced and recognized experts in Commissioning and LEED® certification. We would like to join your project team as the commissioning authority for your LEED® project. Our firm has provided Commissioning Services for multiple LEED® certified buildings, and we have the certificates to prove it!

Solutions For Today's Smart Buildings

TECHNOLOGY CM and DATA ARCHITECT

Operational Technology (OT) is the considered the heart of any facility. A smart building is comprised of a brain (integration platform) and a spine (OT network) and this level of sophistication is simply better designed and procured outside the traditional construction channels. BDC continues to help our clients “integrate” different technology platforms that over the years were procured haphazardly, through the random process of multiple tier 1 and tier 2 subcontractors, with virtually no coordination before or during the installation process. This leads to multiple platforms, none of which speak the same language, and all of which require their own connection to the IT network.
